My Life's Work
Clearwater, Florida · October 12, 2026
Monday, October 12th. I'm back at home in Clearwater, Florida, after an amazing month in San Francisco. I've been on the road, traveling for almost two years now.
After San Francisco, I visited my friend Ron in San Diego. We had an amazing surf session and great talks. Again, I had that experience of meeting new people and having them ask, "Hey, where do you live?"
"I've been traveling for almost two years."
"Do you have a car? Do you rent a place?"
"No, just a backpack."
As I sit here at 26, I'm so grateful for the journey and the freedom I've had.
Another exciting thing is that it's been almost a year since Kyle and I started working together on AI. When I go back and read some of my old blog posts, it's crazy how much we've learned about business, matured as men, and how far we've come. I'm grateful to work with Kyle and share all our learnings together.
One of the main reasons I came home was to really think about my future and what I want it to look like. Should I take advantage of this time while I'm young to see new places, without a commitment to a lease or any one place? Or is it time to settle down somewhere for more than three months and get comfortable?
Both have pros and cons. I've slowly been getting into a morning routine here, which has been really nice. But I also realize how adaptable I am. Whether I'm sleeping in a really bad bed, getting bad sleep, or surrounded by new people in a new city, I can adapt to these situations.
But where can I compound in life and in work for the next ten years? What is the truest expression of myself? Where is that? Who is that with?
These are the questions I'm asking myself. I don't have the answers right now, and that's okay. Maybe I'll never have all the answers, but I'll get closer. I'm excited to see what the future holds.
I was watching a podcast about work and startups, and I realized that once you have the frame of mind that you are currently working on your life's work, everything becomes clearer. It's not just hopping from job to job or place to place. If you truly believe, "Yes, I am working on my life's work—intellectually, spiritually, and physically," you can see more clearly where to invest, where to compound, and the future you want to build.
I'm looking forward to this next month with my friends and family. I went surfing with my brother. I went on a walk with my mom. I went to a Lightning game with my dad. These are times you have to cherish.
And through all of it, I want to continue being the truest expression of me. Not what someone tells me to be, or what my friends or family say. To be really confident and true to myself. To keep being compassionate, leading with the heart, and really focusing.
